Backups

RTILA X supports automatic and manual backups of the application database.

Automatic Backups

Automatic backups are configured in the Administration tools:

Setting	Description	Default
Enable automatic backups	Run daily backups at midnight	Off
Number of backups to keep	How many backups to retain	7

Manual Backups

1. Go to User Menu → Preferences → Administration → Open Administration Tools.
2. Go to the Backups tab.
3. Click New Backup.
4. A backup is created with a timestamp.

Restoring a Backup

1. In the Backups tab, find the backup you want to restore.
2. Click Restore.
3. Confirm the restore.
4. The application restarts with the restored data.

⚠️ Warning: Restoring a backup overwrites all current data. Make sure you want to restore before confirming.

Deleting a Backup

1. Click Delete next to the backup.
2. Confirm the deletion.

Backup Location

Backups are stored in:

~/.rtila-x/database/data/backups/

You can open this folder by clicking Open Folder in the Backups tab.
